Privacy Policy & Cookie Notice

In one sentence: the numbers you enter are calculated inside your own browser, we never receive them, there are no accounts and no analytics, and the only third parties involved are Google (fonts, and advertising when ads are shown).

1. Who we are

This website (the “Site”) is a free, informational fitness calculator that estimates fat-burning heart-rate ranges from your age, resting heart rate and chosen intensity range. It is operated by the owner of fat-burning-calc.puppysiu.com (“we”, “us”). This notice explains what happens to personal data when you use the Site, and it applies to this Site only, not to any other website you reach from it.

2. The values you enter stay in your browser

Your age, resting heart rate and intensity range are processed entirely by JavaScript running on your own device. Nothing you type is uploaded to us: there is no server-side calculation, no API and no database, and we never receive or store the values you enter.

If you use “copy result” or share the address-bar link, the values appear in the page URL (for example ?age=30&rest=68&min=60&max=70). That is a deliberate “shareable link” feature: anyone you send the URL to can see those numbers, so please do not post a link you consider private in a public place.

Our web hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP address, user agent and requested URL) for security and troubleshooting, as almost all web hosts do. We do not link those logs to your calculations.

3. Storage on your device

The Site itself sets no cookies. It does use your browser’s localStorage to remember two things between visits:

• fbc_lang — the language you chose (English or 繁體中文).
• fbc_recent — your last few calculations: the age, resting heart rate and intensity range you entered, the resulting bpm ranges and a timestamp, so you can compare them later.

This information never leaves your device, is not readable by other websites, and is neither a cookie nor a tracking identifier. You can delete it at any time with the “clear history” button in the calculator, by clearing site data in your browser, or by using a private window. If you prefer that nothing is remembered, the owner can also switch the “recent calculations” feature off.

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

When advertising is enabled, the Site serves ads through Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick / Google advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. This is third-party advertising controlled by Google, not by us:

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites — see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings; in the EU/UK you can also use Your Online Choices or aboutads.info.
• Where the law requires it, consent for personalised advertising is collected through Google’s certified consent management platform before any personalised ads are served (see section 5).

If you decline personalised advertising you may still see non-personalised ads, which are selected without using your past browsing behaviour for ad personalisation.

5. Consent, and how to change or withdraw it

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads are requested only with your consent, collected by Google’s certified consent management platform (the “European regulations message” shown on your first visit). That message is integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework, so you can accept, refuse, or choose purpose-by-purpose and vendor-by-vendor settings.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — refusing must be as easy as accepting:

• Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the calculator page; it re-opens Google’s consent message.
• Or delete this site’s cookies and stored site data in your browser settings; you will be asked again on your next visit.
• Google’s own controls (Google Ads Settings, links in section 4) apply to advertising generally, on any site.

Refusing consent does not block the calculator: it only affects personalised advertising. The calculation, the language choice and the rest of the page keep working exactly the same.

6. Other third-party requests

For typography, the page loads web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches those files, Google receives your IP address and basic request data as the file server, under Google’s own privacy policy. No analytics or tracking scripts, no social plug-ins and no embedded videos are used on this Site.

7. Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics, fingerprinting or session-replay tool. We do not build user profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR/UK GDPR, or the Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because the calculator does not transmit your inputs to us and keeps no accounts, we normally hold no personal data about you, so most requests are answered by explaining that nothing is stored on our side. 9. Children

The Site is a general-audience fitness tool aimed at adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; the calculator never asks for a name, e-mail address or any identifier.

10. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it. Material changes that affect how advertising cookies are used will be reflected here before they take effect.

4. 同意與如何撤回

7. 兒童與政策變更
